Seattle Camera Club
The Seattle Camera Club (1924–1929) was an organization based in Seattle, Washington, composed largely of immigrant Japanese-American photographers working in the style called Pictorialism. It was notable for the artistic success of its members, and for its highly-usual-for-the-times mixed race and mixed gender membership.〔http://www.seattlecameraclub.com/what_was_the_SCC.html〕 Its most well-known members include pioneering female photographers Ella E. McBride and Virna Haffer and noted modern dance photographer Soichi Sunami.
